Sandwell Council is appealing for donations of Easter eggs for Santa’s Black Country Toy Appeal.
Donations of chocolate eggs can be made at any of Sandwell’s 19 libraries until Monday 27 March.
They will be collected by the Easter Bunny and distributed by the charity to children and young people in Sandwell and the Black Country.
Councillor Simon Hackett, Cabinet Member for Children and Education, said: “I am very proud to give my support to this fantastic charity and ask those who can afford to donate to give generously to this very worthy cause.
“Sadly, due to the cost of living emergency, Easter is going to be such a difficult time for many families in Sandwell.
“Each donation will be very gratefully received and the charity are working hard to distribute donations to children who may not otherwise get an Easter egg.”
“Donations can be dropped off at any library in Sandwell until Monday 27 March.
More details are on the Sandwell Council website at www.sandwell.gov.uk/blackcountryeasterappeal.
Please do not leave donations outside libraries if they are closed.
