‘Citroën and You’ programme extended to welcome BSL users into the Citroën family

Citroën UK is celebrating Sign Language Week (14 to 22 March) by extending its ‘Citroën and You’ programme to welcome British Sign Language (BSL) users into the Citroën family. The programme, previously reserved for friends and family of Citroën employees, allows all BSL users to save up to an additional £1,200 on a brand-new Citroën car.

‘Citroën and You’ is available to BSL users as a fully online experience via the Citroën store. BSL users wishing to take advantage of the ‘Citroën and You’ programme can review current offers online, configure and personalise their car, place it in their shopping basket prior to checkout and access a discount with a personalised promotional code before completing the order. The initiative is launched today (Monday 14 March) and will continue beyond Sign Language Week. The offers extend across the entire Citroën passenger car range, including C4 and ë-C4 Electric, C5 Aircross and New C3 Aircross SUV.

The extension of the ‘Citroën and You’ programme is fully aligned with the brand’s pledge to become more accessible to the UK’s deaf community – there are more than 150,000 British Sign Language users in this country. Last year, Citroën partnered with SignLive to become the first car manufacturer to introduce its online video interpreting service across its entire UK retailer network. Through SignLive, deaf and hard of hearing customers can communicate with a Citroën representative for advice and support, through a phone or tablet computer – helping them to book servicing or to find out more about the latest models and consumer offers.

Eurig Druce, Citroën’s UK Managing Director, said: “I am incredibly proud to extend ‘Citroën and You’ to all BSL users. We have made a conscious effort over the past year to ensure the UK’s deaf and hard of hearing community is able to access the same level of service that every other new-car buyer can experience, using the SignLive service. Extending ‘Citroën and You’ is just the next step as we work to expand the Citroën family. We hope this allows many more BSL users access to a great new Citroën vehicle.”

Sign Language Week is run annually by the British Deaf Association (BDA) and coincides with the anniversary of the recognition of BSL in 2003. This year’s event runs from the 14 to 20 March, 2022.
